Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one.
I have a head full of seemingly weird ideas. I’m an odd ball or maybe a square peg. for example.
I believe strongly that we should interpret first chapters of Genesis as literally as possible yet I have no problem with the universe being 14 billion years old.
I believe that a large percentage of the world will always be hostile to true Christianity yet I expect to see a golden age not unlike the one expected by the postmillennialists.
I believe that Christians are wrong to teach that the human soul is naturally immortal yet I have no problem believing that God might if he chooses keep the reprobate alive and in torment forever.
I believe in the five points of Calvinism but also believe that when John 3:16 says that God loved the word and gave his Son for it he meant the “world” and not just the elect.
I believe societies' laws should mirror as much as possible the Law of God yet I don’t believe that we should that we should use the Ten Commandments or the Sermon on the Mount as a template for legislation.
I believe we Christians have only one Lawgiver and it’s not Moses its Christ.
I believe that the next few years will see the exodus of the majority of Christians from traditional Church structures yet I think this will be the most exciting revival since the reformation.
If God grants me the time and the ambition I hope to expand on these and some other radical ideas in this blog. Who knows maybe some of it might make sense to you as well. After all if you’re a Christian then you to are one of the peculiar people.
Peace
